At the summit of the life of prayer and worship is the celebration of the Eucharist!
As Catholic Christians, we are not only a baptized but a eucharistic community that
gathers weekly to celebrate the Sabbath of the Lord. In the name of the entire family
of St. Benedict the Moor, we invite you to join us at the Table of Word and Sacrament,
while we break open the Scriptures, receive Christ present....body and soul, humanity
and divinity in Eucharist, and we share the bread of Christian Community as sisters
and brothers in Christ. All are welcome to worship together, to be nourished in our
Faith and to witness in service the call to address the Works of Mercy found in Mt. 25:31ff.
The Liturgy Committee helps coordinate, plan and prepare for the liturgical seasons through
a joint effort of working with our ushers, lectors, eucharistic ministers, altar servers, choir and sacristans in attempting to pastorally balance our choices according to the guidelines of the Bishops conference and the liturgical and pastoral direction of the Second Vatican Council II.
If the Lord has placed it on your heart to serve in some capacity of public worship,
please consider the Liturgy Committee or one of the ministries of service.
