Las Posadas - The Inn

St. Benedict the Moor and Our Lady of Lourdes parishes celebrate Las Posadas during the Advent Season.  Recalling the plight of Joseph and Mary pregnant with the Child Jesus as they struggle to find shelter for the night.  There is a knock on the front door of the Church seeking entry as the images of the Holy Family are brought before an open manger.   The Community gathers in praying
the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary, alternating in English and in Spanish.   Songs accompany the
prayer service and a procession brings the images of the Nativity to St. Benedict Community Hall
where a light reception takes place.
